Key Characteristics
Size: Grows to about 1.5 to 2.5 inches long.
Lifespan: Lives up to 5 years or more with proper care.
Behavior: Calm and social, though often confused with the larger, aggressive albino African clawed frog (Xenopus laevis). True dwarf frogs have webbed front hands and pointed snouts.
Tank Care
Water Setup: Fully aquatic, but needs access to the water surface to breathe air. Keep tank depth under 12 inches so they can swim up easily. Use a tight lid to prevent escapes.
Tank Mates: Safe with peaceful community fish like tetras, guppies, and snails. Avoid aggressive or large fish that might bully them or view them as food.
Diet: Eats sinking pellets, frozen bloodworms, daphnia, and blackworms
