The Black Moor is one of the most distinctive and elegant fancy goldfish varieties, instantly recognisable by its velvety jet-black colouration and large, protruding telescope eyes. Care Requirements

• Tank size: Minimum 80L for one fish — add 40L per additional fish
• Water temperature: 10–22°C (coldwater — no heater required)
• pH: 6.5–7.5
• Filtration: Strong filtration essential — goldfish produce a lot of waste
• Diet: Omnivore — sinking goldfish pellets preferred (floating food can cause swim bladder issues)
• Compatibility: Peaceful — best kept with other fancy goldfish varieties
• Note: Poor eyesight due to telescope eyes — avoid sharp décor and fast tank mates
• Difficulty: Beginner to Intermediate
